CopperHill partnered with Forge Health to improve several areas, intending to reduce manual tasks and align with Forge Health’s growth initiatives. Our work with Forge focused on solving administrative challenges along with supporting other areas of their business. These were our areas of focus:

CopperHill Solutions: 

Our job at CopperHill was to utilize our Salesforce, Healthcare, and interoperability expertise to overcome the challenges Forge Health faced on a day-to-day basis. We did so in the following ways:

  • Normalized Data Structure
    • Migrated from Kipu CRM to Salesforce Health Cloud with an improved data model to remove unstructured or redundant data. This allowed for more granular filtering, reporting, and security settings across teams.
  • Improved Intake Process
    • Standardized the patient intake process to improve user experience through a custom intake screen flow. One example is our addition of automatic location suggestions with an incorporated location proximity calculation. 
  • Clear Documentation
    • Guided assessment that automatically generates documents for the admissions team, which are then passed to Kipu Health EMR through integration. This reduced manual efforts and improved efficiency.
  • Seamless Patient Communication Processes
    • Implemented Marketing Cloud to enhance communication by creating automated, more personalized content based on a patient’s location, treatment needed, and intake status.
  • Scalability to Support Growth
    • Marketing Cloud improved scalability beyond previous tools, including the use of automated follow-ups, reminders, and multi-touch points within the patient communication cycle. 
    • Health Cloud improved scalability and added a reliable software development lifecycle using CopperHill training and Salesforce native test and deployment tools. This gave Forge Health the ability to build additional CRM functionalities in the future.

Kipu Integration: 

One of the highlights of our work with Forge Health was our integration across Salesforce Health Cloud and Kipu Health EMR (watch a short demo here). Kipu Health is a cloud-based EMR specifically designed for behavioral health facilities and addiction treatment centers. 

Before signing on with CopperHill, Forge Health was already utilizing Kipu EMR to manage patients. Forge Health was already utilizing Kipu EMR, and after integrating with Health Cloud we were able to automate improved data transfer between systems. Tying Kipu EMR data back into Health Cloud’s normalized data structure allows for reporting on quality clinical data in the same location as intake and provider relationship data.

We worked closely with our contacts at Kipu Health to ensure this transition went smoothly for the Forge Health team. The result was an easy-to-use CRM and EMR for both care coordinators and providers.
